NEWS FLASH: Spotlight on Eloquent Books author Michael Garee

Atlanta Resident Dedicates New Book to Comedian Jeff Foxworthy!

Michael Garee is featured in Today's Senior Network - http://www.todaysseniorsnetwork.com/You%27re_Getting_old_if.htm

This is How the Story Goes...
In 2007 Mike launched a new Web site aimed at seniors and those who love them, http://www.seniormomentsonline.org/. One of the regular site features is “The Lighter Side,” and as the title suggests, it is there that the focus is on some of the more humorous aspects of being a senior. (And, as Mike points out, there are quite a few!) Some books Mike and his wife, Lynda, have found hilariously funny over the years is the You Might Be a Redneck If . . . series, written and published by one of the funniest, best comedians on the planet, Jeff Foxworthy. So, in an early attempt to generate material for “The Lighter Side,” Mike and Lynda began batting around some “You Might be Getting Old If . . .” one-liners, à la Foxworthy. Mike said they found it great fun (they're easily entertained these days, he said), and 200 of those one-liners they considered to be “keepers” are included in Mike's new book.
About Michael Garee...
Michael Garee is the CEO & Editor-in-Chief of www.seniormomentsonline.org, a website designed for seniors and those who love them. He manages the site and writes a weekly editorial column for it.During his active professional career (not that he is inactive these days!), Michael was a newspaper reporter, magazine writer and editor and managing editor of a number of national and international publications for State Farm Insurance Companies and the insurance and investment affiliates of Illinois Farm Bureau. Over the years, he has published numerous articles, on a wide variety of subjects, in the insurance industry and marketing and trade press.
A Vietnam War veteran, Michael served ten years on active duty in the United States Marine Corps before entering college and earning a bachelor’s degree in English and journalism at Illinois State University. He also taught newspaper reporting, magazine writing, editing and publishing and public relations courses at ISU for many years. Michael is now retired, both from the insurance industry and on Social Security. He lives in the Atlanta, GA, metropolitan area.
