Your book is a message to society of how you think the world could be a better place; if every so slightly. Getting the message out
effectively is an effort requiring a small team to work with you on producing your title and marketing it at its full potential. That’s the challenge.

As the marketing liaison, we don’t deal too much on the making of your title; but obviously that’s the first intent of it, and we are all dependant on its production. I believe the editing department is one of the largest in its class, and very thorough; and the Graphics department is as good as any of the large publishers, with notable originality and brilliant at tying in the cover to your theme. The physical book ends up a winner.

As AEG is finalizing your title product, they start to look at the beginning of your marketing campaign. AEG will continue to work with you on self promotional development, making your book available to bookstores; but you also have the option to further your marketing appeal to the buyers and distributors by our specialized marketing team. Comprehensive Project Assessment
This is the initial, detailed assessment and review of your project that helps us plan the best marketing
strategy for your book. While your book is the key part of the PR campaign, our questionnaires are
designed to find aspects of your professional/personal background to help broaden the market of your
book and generate a growing reader base.

Orientation and
Phone call

First we will send you an outline on what this call and campaign will cover. The purpose of the call is to
go over your plan with you, begin to finalize the campaign structure, and resolve any details. This is also
a good time where your inquires and any issues can be addressed.
Monthly report This is a short monthly briefing showing status and any progress made on the campaign. It will contain
who was sent media kits/review copies, journalist responses and reviews.
Comprehensive Weekly Friday Report This takes the monthly report to a weekly, more detailed level and includes media feedback, market
changes and sales data. [in development]

Customized Media List We will build a media lists for your project from both our personal contacts and our Global Database. This
list will be used to send media kits to and call on journalist for possible bookings/interviews.
Social Media PR Partnerships Through relationships w/Lifetime TV and other networks, we coordinate Meet the Author Chat Event that
will include book sales opportunities and prizes for participants.
E-Blast Media Release The e-blast is a mass emailed press release that goes out to the general media to initiate mass attention
opportunities. We send two or three at different intervals of the campaign duration, this is used in discretion.
Press Releases to Print Media At the time of your live date our Press Dept issues a release announcing your book to the wire service
and what we do is keep it active and circulating in all forms. The media is a huge conglomerate with
many avenues: Wire Service, Print, Viral (internet), TV, Radio and sometimes film. The wire service covers
most of the venues, but it’s more effective to cover each individually to increase hits and increase our
chances of reaching as many journalists as possible.

Electronic Press Kit The EPK or the Electronic Press Kit is a digital file with all publicity materials loaded into it and plays like
a short movie. Most EPK's are between 2 and 15 minutes in length, depending on material available and
type of EPK. The EPK is virtually the same as the hardcopy counterpart, but with enhanced features and
additions. A well done EPK will be entertaining as well as informative; it contains music, voice over
narrations, video, sometimes trivia/fun facts and any other material appropriate to the client being
promoted. The EPK, once created, can be loaded to a website, burned to a CD/DVD, uploaded onto a
flash drive/memory stick and synced to a PDA or IPod type device. This kit versatile in function as it is promoted through the mainstream media, specialized promotions, business to business, consumer level
and shared for viral marketing. The latter two have become the most popular as the journalist quickly receives the EPK on their Blackberry without being in attendance at the press junket or conference. We
will send your EPK out to journalists and other media.
EPK-Full Full EPK's generally run about 10-15 minutes in length and have several features: Longer narrations,
customized music, several photos, clippings, etc as appropriate to the project.
MID-EPK Our Mid-EPK is similar to the full EPK in media functionality, but shorter and more compact. Mid-EPK's
are typically between 5-10 minutes in length.
MINI-EPK

The Mini-EPK is an abbreviated press kit under 5 minutes that contains the basic press elements
needed while still showcasing the important parts of the client and project: 1 minute intro/author
narration, music/sound byte, 1-2 minute video clip/footage and any photos/clippings/author information.

Co-op Book Launch Party We will work with you in coordinating and gaining exposure and coverage of your book launch party;
this includes, gathering media, planning, etc.
Virtual Book Launch Party This is held and hosted in the Second Life online community; [please inquire within.]

Book tours We will coordinate with you a book tour as this is a sure-fire way to introduce you to readers, buyers and
the media. Pending upon budget and travel arrangements, you can choose to have a local, regional,
national, international or all if applicable. A 30-day minimum notice is required for scheduling purposes
with vendors and 2-3 months notice is needed for national and international tours. Book Tours build
status of you the author and your work and bring in the quickest sales. When we schedule a local tour we
do it to not just book the signing, but to build an event around it: Some tours like to do a coffee plus
reading and sometimes a launch party in their store. We can secure media and/special interest groups
(if applicable) to participate in the event as well.
Local Book tour A local tour needs not to just be the signing, but involves your introduction to the community as a
published author which can lead to other opportunities noteworthy to your career. We will work with you
to facilitate your local area tour including media events.
Regional Book tour Any type of book tour will bring in the sales and exposure. We will coordinate this with you as it requires
participating in signings on a statewide or across state lines level. Doing a tour in your regional area also
opens up opportunities to having your book carried by stores on a larger scale. 2-month advance noticed
required to secure a full tour.
National Book tour The local and regional tours help expose you to your community and surrounding regions; a national
tour schedule further extends that to across the country to a larger reader base. We will coordinate with
your travel plans. A three month advance notice and tentative itinerary is required. Many of the chain
stores will order the books, but it’s always suggested to keep a stock of 20 plus for smaller, indie stores
and alternative shops for reading/signings.
International Book Tour [inquire within]
Radio Coverage

We build a media list of all the appropriate radio markets/shows for your book. This is assembled
separately from the media list as it narrows to radio media only and specialized radio programs to your book/topic specialty.

Journalist Query List Pitches

We combine two journalist query services where reporters and media producers post messages to private
lists stating what they want or are needing specifically for their story. We scan the list and look for queries
that match with that of our authors and then we pitch your book/topic to the journalist.

Specialized Media Pitches
These are carefully planned pitches to specific media for coverage based on factors like timing, popularity
of topic, etc. It helps to increase our chances at getting the media booking & repeat coverage which can in
turn bring in reviews, endorsements, and sales.

Author Topical/Industry Pitches

Any professional affiliations/credentials that you have that relate to your topic/book we can use to seek
out vendors & draw readers from a circle that is familiar to you. This can help make you a known expert in your topic/field.
Experts List We will pitch for you to be a part of "expert" group lists, boards, blogs, organizations, etc. that will help
you and your cause. These lists sometimes tend to be exclusive and gaining entry into them w/out the
help of a publicist or agent is not always easy, but once you're in it helps with establishing that elite status
in your  field. with the company's own client base or cause.
Media Events/Appearances We will coordinate all media events and appearances on your behalf as your personal publicist.
Book Festival/Fair Inclusion Book Fairs and Festivals are great opportunities to sell the book, network and meet readers from outside
your area. We will submit your title for inclusion in such events.
Speaking Engagements at Events Writers Conferences, Clubs & other conventions are great opportunities to get you noticed in the literary
world as well as increase readership, but speaking shows you know your topic well and it opens up
sales/signing opportunities with your reader base. This is an excellent way to build on your connection
to the readers that will in turn help you in your writing career.
Sponsorship Opportunities We will apply for sponsorships to back a regional/national speaking and book tour. The criteria for a
sponsorship are testimonials and endorsements from readers/colleagues supporting your expertise
and/or book's appeal to a corporate, nonprofit or a specific brand/product is a match with the company's
own client
base or cause.
Promotional Media opportunities We will assemble a media list in select markets based on your book subject, experience and the
demographics. This helps to reach out to a wider reader base using promotional events through the media.
Continuous Media Correspondence This is ongoing correspondence with journalists contacted through the media lists we have created for
your project. This helps to insure certain levels of coverage in the media and to keep the contacts warm. We will follow-up through scheduled reminders sent to journalists that requested media kits or kits sent out
based on demand to insure the query isn't forgotten. We will apply scheduled reminders and ongoing correspondence with journalists on your media lists for follow-ups and keeping your project fresh.
Spokesperson Opportunities This is similar to sponsorships except geared more towards spokesperson/speaking engagement
opportunities based on your expertise, business, and work and/or as a special interest group advocate
that relates to you and your book in the long term.
International Press Release [Inquire within]
Press Release to Hollywood Wire If the title is marketable for TV/film, we will post an announcement pitch on the Hollywood Reporter/Variety
wire service that producers/studio execs regularly check when looking for new material.
International Market place [inquire within]
Hollywood Screenplay Option Pitch We will prepare a pitch directly to 5 entertainment industry executives and production company contacts for
movie rights.
Direct Marketing Direct consumer advertising can be very effective; this mission will run a series of ads in appropriate venues
to generate buyers. We will create quality "good to read" ads that will generate sales results for your book.
Viral Marketing

Viral marketing and viral advertising refer to marketing techniques that use pre-existing social networks to
produce increases in brand awareness or to achieve other marketing objectives (such as product sales)
through self-replicating viral processes, analogous to the spread of pathological and computer viruses. It
can be word-of-mouth delivered or enhanced by the network effects of the Internet.[1] Viral promotions may
take the form of video clips, interactive Flash games, advergames, eBooks, brandable software, images, or
even text messages. The basic form of viral marketing is not infinitely sustainable. The goal in creating
successful viral marketing programs is to identify individuals/companies with high Social Networking
Potential (SNP) and create Viral Messages that appeal to this segment of the population and have a high
probability of being passed along. We will pitch and promote your project to popular online sites (internet
media sites, blogs, podcasts, ezines, etc.) for coverage, reviews and possible contributor opportunities.
Online marketing is called Viral because it spreads quickly like a virus if coordinated and planned efficiently.
